Difficult to Work WithApr 08 2014
They recently rejected a claim for a prescription my son takes and when I questioned the policy they said my firm changed my coverage. I called HR immediately and was told that that was untrue. United Healthcare lied to get my son to switch to a lesser drug which cost less. My doctor submitted a note and mysteriously the coverage was continued. The only change? They were found out. I am currently working on a claim that is from a November appointment requiring a full day battery of required tests. I only found out they wanted more information after they hadn\'t payed in 2 months. I got them their answer within 5 minutes. Suppose I hadn\'t called to check on the delay? Do you really think they would have contacted me? I got an appeal department fax number yesterday and 24 hours later the number is still not operational. The second fax number I was given today is not operational either. Are you kidding me? A major national insurance company having numerous representatives give out a number to customers that doesn\'t work? I called again today to speak with somebody in the appeals department to get a contact name or number or possibly a working fax number. The representative said there is no number for the appeals group just the fax numbers that font work.
