Does not pay claims!
Over the 6 month period that my company used United Health Care, not one of the claims was paid. They were simple doctor office visits, to physician who were listed on MyUHC website as participating physicians. Got different reasons from customer service reps. Each time I called for each of the three employees that were denied benefits, I was met with these same tactics.
No refill
Nothing is covered. If it is covered, It's tier 3 = super expensive. Their customer service is unhelpful. I'm pregnant and I lost my pre-natal vitamins on train. They will not refill the prescription. That's $500+ out-of-pocket.
Unhappy And Worried
They'll may pay one month and then very next month they won't pay for the same type of visit.
Not Covered
Even though I have coverage, they still try to find reasons to not pay even when my policy covers it.
Please pick a different company
Please save yourself the trouble, they will lie, cheat or steal to make their bottom line. Please Please Please buy from another company
Horrible customer service
I have been trying for the last four days to speak with a knowledgeable rep. I have been getting transferred from one person to another and at last I am getting transferred to an automatic reply which says "there is an issue with the system and they wont be able to take my call".
Wrong Info
I wish I could change to another health insurance company. The coverage isn't that good and they are expensive. The information they have on their website (as far as providers) is WRONG and they won't fix it if you try to tell them!
Poor Customer Service
They continue to fail to provide coverage to the East end of Long Island and they discontinued coverage for the drugs that work for some cheap generic substitutes which make the patient ill!
Refused Prior Authorization
United HealthCare is arrogant enough that they refuse prior authorization requests for medication from the National Cancer Institute. Refusing the prior authorization request means they never have to issue a paper denial, which in turn means I can never file an appeal. My asking for a supervisor has been repeatedly denied - eventually they just hang up. I have been through every possible avenue trying to resolve this, and UHC continues to refuse to accept anything.
No Coverage
Their service is terrible. They are refusing to cover my claim.
