I was rear-ended by a driver who is covered by a Travelers policy. I still don't have my car back. Travelers took nearly two weeks ago to inspect and once they did they determined it could be repaired, so I had it towed to a collision center. Then, two weeks later still, upon further inspection, Travelers determined the vehicle was a total loss. Further, they indicated that they could not pay me the value of the vehicle because their policy holder had a limited collision coverage policy! This left me with the unenviable choice of either accepting thousands less for my car than its worth, or using my insurance company to repair my vehicle. Travelers has been completely inflexible and unsympathetic throughout this entire ordeal.
