Poor Customer Service

I have been a customer of State Farm Auto Insurance for 22 years. In general we have been satisfied with the rates and customer service we have received. In the past when I have moved to a new city, I have been able to easily transfer to a new State Farm Agent. However, when I moved in November of last year from the San Jose area of California to Sacramento, the nightmare began. I went into a local Sate Farm agent's office and asked to transfer my policies to them. They said "no problem". I turned out to be a huge problem. After five months of phone calls to their office, visits to their office, and calls to my former agent, my account is a mess. They managed to list me as living at two different addresses, remove my multi-line discount, removed my multi-car discount, and one vehicle has still not been transferred from the old agent. The customer has no control with State Farm. The agents are in total control. One agent cannot look at an account held under another agents name, making a transfer a nearly impossible process, if the original agent doesn't cooperate.
