Poor Claims Process Practices

I was hit by a guy who tried to make an illegal left turn in front of me as I was proceeding through the intersection. I was injured and he totaled my car. In the past when my car wasn't totaled, they took care of me. This time it took calling them repeatedly and calling my agent for them to finally take care of getting the police report, then I had to call them to get the name of the other driver and his insurance info. Now It's like pulling teeth to get them to make the payment. They only paid for 8 days of a rental car once they made the offer of payoff. Luckily, the other driver's insurance company stepped up to the plate and paid for another 5 days. Until I get the pay off though, I am not able to purchase another vehicle and I have to pay for additional rental time.
