Took My Money, Gave Me Nothing
I got a call from the Reliance Insurance Company. The sales person on the other end told me to invest some money in a policy so that I could get a good bonus with the company's health cash card. The offer sounded good since I was already spending so much money on two other policies from two different companies. The contract which I signed stated that if I was not getting any benefits from the company, that I could cancel the policy within 15 days of signing up. After 10 days I called customer service at Reliance and was told that everything should be ready, but that it would take about 45 days for everything to be approved. I didn't question this delay. I called back after 45 days and was reassured that my bonus card was on its way. Now, after 6 month of waiting and calling, Reliance's reps are being non-responsive. They've taken my money and I have nothing to show for it, nor can I cancel since the cancellation time frame has passed and I am locked in for the next 3 years.
