Rate Increase After AccidentDec 18 2012
I called customer service and the rep was not friendly. You can effectively replace the rep with a robot because they just repeat the rules. I am a platinum member and one of the benefits is "Small Accident Forgiveness". I thought an accident which cost $550 is a small accident. I asked the rep about the limit of "Small Accident". She said it is $750. Then I asked why my premium was increased as it cost just $550, she asked me to hold on a minute. After 3 minutes she came back and said the limit was $500. I tried to argue with her and all she repeated was 'this cost x points' and 'that cost y points'. I too know number system. This act by Progressive cost 3 points and my rating dropped from a 4 to a 1.
