My vehicle was hit from behind while I was waiting at a stoplight. The other driver had Progressive insurance. I immediately received three estimates for the damages from local body shops and did not file with my insurance company because my rates would go up even though the accident was not my fault. Progressive insisted I bring my vehicle to one of their local claims offices so they could look at it. I brought in my car and their estimate for repair was over $1,000 less than the average cost of repair according to the three estimates I received. I told Progressive that their estimate is way too low and does not cover the actual damages but they refused to listen and sent me a check for that low estimate.
