Bad Experience

My husband became very ill 7 weeks ago. He was hospitalized and his company recommended placing him on short-term disability. We had the doctor fill out the paper work and we received one check. Five weeks later, he was dead and we not only never received a check, but were told by Met Life that they weren't paying any more disability for his last days because he hadn't filed the same paperwork again. Now that he's gone, they are telling me it will take around a month for them to get around to paying out his life insurance policy. Meanwhile, the bills are stacking up and I've had to borrow money to meet the payments.
