Not Paying Because of Medical ConditionDec 08 2012
My wife and myself were pedestrians. We were struck by a Mercury insured driver. The car landed on the sidewalk striking my wife and myself. My wife had a fracture skull, loss of her motor skills in one of her hands and an arm which is still not 100% . I ended up with a broken foot and injured both knees. We both missed time from work. My wife spent almost a week in intensive care. My foot still has not fully recovered and I don't think it ever will. Mercury denied payment for compensation because according to Mercury insurance their driver had a seizure. According to insurance laws in some states if a driver has an unforeseen medical condition they don't have to pay!
