No Customer Service
Three weeks since the claim has been filed, and I cannot get a call back from my claim adjuster. I also have left messages for her boss, but she is not returning calls either. At this point I had to just purchase a new car without my claim being paid out because the cost of a rental car was too high. At a time when you are in need of help, to be treated like this as a customer is unacceptable.

I had a claim. Mercury Insurance told me an adjuster will call me within the next 2 business days. I was impressed when he called me 3 hours after I filed my claim. My adjuster also stuck with me since my claim / liability was disputed by the other party's insurance carrier. My claim was sent to arbitration and we won. Looked like the other party's insurance company was trying to dispute my claim to try and delay payment. My adjuster kept me updated and explained things to me that most people don't understand regarding liability insurance. I will always be with Mercury Insurance and I highly recommend them to everyone!
My car was hit and determined to be a total loss. I am still trying to collect from Mercury on my Uninsured motorist coverage a year later.
Claim not paid in full
We have been in litigation for over four years for a claim that they refuse to pay on an accident caused by another driver insured by another company. The other driver company paid their share, but Mercury does not feel a need to pay for a claim that, according to the coverage, they should have paid.
We noticed that our Mercury Insurance premium was high so we got a quote from some other insurance companies. We ended up getting a HIGHER policy with another company and paid $400.00 less. Now Mercury Insurance is trying to charge us a 233.00 Cancellation fee!
I recently was hit by a car that is insured through mercury. The claims adjuster was rude. I refused to have the call recorded as I was still gathering info (police reports, photos, witness statements, etc.) and didn't want any scatterbrained thoughts on tape. I asked if she could send me the list of questions she was going to ask me and she said no.
They said that I needed to pay $43 for a bill that they could not explain after I had already paid them for a $42 bill the month before. A few days later I got another bill for $73. I paid the $73. They sent me a check for $26 because they where going to cancel my policy. When I called my agent he told me that I could keep my coverage by paying $42 today by credit card, so I did. My agent told me that my insurance had been canceled one day after I paid. The agent called mercury and they said that I should be getting a check from them any day for the cancellation. When I told my agent that I had not received it, he checked with Mercury and they said that they would not be sending me the check, but that they would be applying it to the $43 that they claim I owe them.
