Bad Customer Service and Underhanded Cancellation Fee! Nov 10 2011
I had insurance with Foremost for longer than I can remember. My first problem was when my agent did not inform me that I was under-covered! He left me open to be a victim of a sue happy motorist. So I found an agent that cared enough to explain my needs and coverage. My second problem is that since I cancelled my policy 2 days earlier than the term they snuck in a cancellation fee of $25. No one explained this to me. Then they have the nerve to send me letters threatening to send me to a collection agency to get their money. I emailed twice with no response, called and felt like the rep was just reading off of a script. They refuse to waive the cancellation fee. They blame me for cancelling 2 days early. I kept asking her why her rep did not explain that to me in the first place. My new insurance would have started 2 days later, what do they think people are this ignorant? I refuse to pay this fee.
