I signed up for insurance with Esurance in January 2007 and everything was good until June. Originally I was scheduled to pay for my insurance twice a year and I made the first payment up front. I called Esurance to let them know that I really wanted to change my payment method because paying semi-annually wasn't financially convenient for me. I worked it out with the company and the rep told me that I was all set - that I could pay on a month-to-month basis after the initial six-month period was up. Guess what - I wasn't all set at all in fact, in June I received a notification from the bank that my checking account was 558 dollars in the negative!!!!!!!!!!! They had taken the payment out for a six-month period when I was only supposed to pay around 100.00 bucks for the month! I called the company furious and they told me there was nothing they could do about it! So, I did something about it and I went with a different company.
