Terrible Long Term Care

CNA will waive the premium if you go into a facility but, if you want 24/7 care at home, they will not waive the premium. Customer service is just terrible. If you don't submit just the right stuff, they will ignore your request and never tell you. You have to call and find out why your request was not handled. They will do everything possible to deny or slow down your legitimate claim payment. After receiving benefits for awhile, on the due date for the next payment, they sent me written demand for all new plan of operation documents prepared by the family physician.

My wife was hit by a scoreboard at a local junior high school. CNA has refused to reimburse us for anything, including the ambulance and emergency room visit. We have spent over $2,500 and have no recourse.

Although I have eventually received reimbursement on my LTC claims, the process for getting the reimbursement is a NIGHTMARE! The paperwork was submitted, but CNA "doesn't have it". They do absolutely everything they can to either not pay or delay payment on legitimate claims.

When it comes time to collect for any long term home care, they will not reimburse my family after 3 months of phone calls. They ask for more paperwork, more cancelled checks, and say the person that you have called is not in... CNA takes your money and does not pay when it comes time.


Dragging Their Feet

The landscaper drove the lawn mower into gravel and sprayed the car with rocks. There were broken window and paint chips. The landscaping company owned up to damage. Easy, right? Absolutely wrong. They are dragging their feet, denying coverage, conducting investigation, and asking my elderly mother to clean up broken glass herself. 10 days later there's been no action.


Dropped My LT Healthcare For Missing 1 Payment

In June I received a letter indicating that I had not paid my quarterly payment in March for LT healthcare. I had paid over 7k into the plan already. A long ugly process of reinstatement ensued whereby I was interviewed, made to fill out long amounts of paperwork, and my doctor sent all of my medical records. THEY DENIED reinstating me and now won't disclose why unless I send in a request in writing.

They stall paying benefits. They have spent 3 months determining whether my father is eligible for home health care benefits under a long term care policy. They have asked for everything, but the kitchen sink and cant figure it out. They will gladly take your premium but will not pay benefits.

I just got another letter threatening to drop my fathers assisted living claim. Another unsigned threat from CNA. They are the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with and I have been a health care provider for 25 years.

They utilize the he-said-she-said technique and the bait and switch ploy to side track claims and justify denials. It's a very poor way to do business.


Insurance USA , USA 4.5 127.0 83 83 this company is out of compliance processing claims on a regular basis. Jim, elizabeth, gail and others in the claims dept. just don't care and even laughed at me. No one ever gets
