poor customer service
Rating - POOR. BCBS of TX started denying my claims saying I had not paid premiums since Oct. 2014... BUT I had paid all on time. Even my Blue Access website would show no coverage since October 2014 on the Coverage tab and yet the Billing tab showed that I was up to date.
It took me 6 weeks (3 phone calls to customer service and 2 emails thru Blue Access) to get the claims approved and an acknowledgement that I did have coverage AND that they have a computer glitch problem.
Am I going to be penalized by the IRS for Nov. & Dec. 2014 Taxes because BCBS reports that I didn't have coverage??? Same for 2015.
Must I continue to pay premiums for the privilege of having my future claims be rejected??? perhaps approved on 2 month later appeal (but the doctor or hospital is looking to me for payment during that delay!) My credit rating potentially negatively affected? As of 2-13-15, Website still says I don't have coverage since October.
They Have My Money and I Have No Coverage
I signed up for BCBS of TX in September 2013 with the premiums automatically debited from my bank account. In November, a system conversion (FAILURE) deleted my payment option and in January they cancelled my insurance. I was never notified. I paid my premium on January 10th and I have now spent more than 8 hours on hold and have spoken with 3 customer care representatives trying to get them to reactivate account. They have my money and I have no coverage.
Blue Cross Blue Shield provides personal insurance for me. I have 0 complaints and have been with them for 10 years. Thanks Blue Cross Blue Shield!

The people that work there have no customer services skills. They screwed up and now they want me to pay.
