Poor Claims Process Practices

I had a minor accident with an Allstate policyholder, that resulted in minor damage to my car, however it was rendered un-driveable. Naturally, I rented a car. A week later, it took two phone calls by me to Allstate to check on the status of my claim to get any information. Not only did they advise me that they were not going to pay for my rental car because my estimate was "only" $600, they also advised me it was likely I could also be found equally at fault. The accident report says their policyholder hit me.
