AAA Insurance

AAA Insurance Background
The American Automobile Association was founded in 1902, when cars were just starting to become a part of American life. There were originally only 1,000 charter members, and this quickly grew to encompass different local and regional clubs under the AAA umbrella.

The Best!

I have AAA for general car insurance coverage and I get the perks of AAA roadside assistance. I have never had to rely on the roadside assistance before, but it felt good to have the assurances in place. Anyway, to make a long story short, I was on my way to work, when I got a flat tire! Panicking and not wanting to look bad the first day on the job, I was worried sick that I was going to be late for my new position. Thankfully, I left a bit earlier than usually, called on AAA Insurance and they were there in no time flat! I got help changing my tire and I was on my way to the job - and, yes, I made it in time.

Delivers Security

I have no regrets whatsoever for choosing AAA Insurance and now that my 18 year old daughter is looking for an insurance carrier, I have turned her to AAA. I know that the rates are reasonable and that AAA insurance puts extra effort into everything they deliver to customers. It makes me feel a little bit better knowing that if she is ever in trouble out on the road, that she will not be stranded or stuck if she can't get a hold of me or her dad, that she can depend on a insurance company that cares.

Far Too Expensive

I have been a AAA member for over 25 years. When they went into the insurance agency business, I had them quote my renters and auto policies and gave them my business. The policies were written through Travelers. The policies would renew each year and each year I would pay the premiums. After a 13% increase in my renters policy this year, I called Travelers to ask if anything could be done and was told "no". Frustrated, I had the agent we use at my work quote my policies, assuming he would find a slightly lower rate at another insurance company. He came back with quotes from TRAVELERS at 15% lower on auto and 68% lower on renters. You are probably thinking that there are some extenuating circumstances - there are not. There have been no changes in the declarations/coverage limits etc.

Billing Confusion

Today I went to the insurance office to pay my monthly bill and I was told I am not covered any more. I have always paid early. I have had no accidents, tickets, or claims. The last 4 months I received a notice saying my bill isn't paid and they are canceling me, I would call the insurance company and they said and I am covered.

Incompetent Adjusters

AAA's insured hit my car at fault. Incompetent adjusters will not reimburse my car rental fees. Adjuster is accusing me of renting the rental car longer for my own personal reason. The adjuster wants me to provide the shop information. All of that information is already on the estimate. How competent are they?

Lost Wages Not Covered

I was injured when I was rear-ended by an uninsured driver. After recovering fully from my injury, I put in a claim to cover my medical bills and my lost wages. After closing my case with AAA, they stalled in making a decision for more than 5 months. Finally, AAA made me an offer that doesn't cover my medical bills, let alone my lost wages. If I accept their offer, I'm out almost $5,000 for something I was not responsible for. Now they are asking for a bunch of documentation, even items that don't pertain to the case; i.e. my personnel file including my performance evaluations.

I think AAA is excellent

I have had great experiences with AAA. I have had accidents, totaled cars, added my kids, drivers, been through a divorce, experienced the roadside assistance many times, and had insurance on my home and auto through AAA. I have had nothing, but great experiences. Now, my first claim when I was in my early 20's wasn't resolved in 2-3 days as I had initially expected, but I had to learn that the insurance company needs the police report, damage estimates... Time to do their thing. However, overall, my expectations have always been very high, and they have always lived up to them.

Watch Out When Moving

I have had AAA Insurance for about three years and my rates remained fair and steady while I was with the company for the first two and a half years. Just about six months ago I moved out of the country and into the city simply because I believed that it would be more convenient for my lifestyle if I were to live in the city. I like being very close to everything including my job and my family. At first I believed that this would lower my insurance costs because now instead of being 14 miles from work I was only 7 miles from work. My driving distance to from work was literally cut in half but much to my surprise my insurance premiums were not cut, they were actually raised! When I called AAA Insurance to find out why my insurance increased they told me that I lived in a high risk area and that my car was among many cars that are frequently stolen by would-be thieves and that's why my insurance increased. Basically I was told there was nothing I could do to rectify the situation and that even if I had put in anti-theft deterrents, my insurance rates were still to be considerably higher than they were before I moved. I felt like I was being punished simply because I made a convenient life choice.

Expensive

The rate was just OK. The coverage was average. However, since I was NOT paying my annual insurance premium in full, AAA tried charging me a $23.99 a month service fee. That adds up to $287.88 per year. So the bottom line, there was no savings through AAA at all. Then when I told the AAA rep that I was canceling my policy, she threatened me with a $400.00 charge.

I love AAA Insurance! I have life insurance through the company, and since I run my own business I also have my business liability insurance through the company is well. My cars are insured by AAA Insurance too. I've been with the company for two years and I'm sticking with them. I appreciate the convenience of being able to work with one insurance provider for every single insurance need I have. AAA Insurance's prices are excellent, there are people are excellent, and their service is beyond excellent. I wouldn't waste a minute even thinking about other insurance companies.
