Cranston, RI – The Amica Companies Foundation, the charitable arm of Amica Insurance in Lincoln, Rhode Island, donated $5,000 to be the title supporter of Feet Up: A Fall Women’s Getaway to be held at the Girl Scouts’ Camp Hoffman in West Kingston.
The Getaway is scheduled for the weekend of September 30 through October 1 and entails a day of spa activities, special interest workshops, kickboxing, makeovers, yoga, archery, and more. All of the proceeds from this event will help Girl Scouts to provide their life-changing programs to young girls who would otherwise not be able to enjoy the Girl Scouting experience.
Along with being a Title Sponsor, Amica receives six tickets to the event. Three lucky Amica Insurance employees are able to participate and bring along a guest. Hometown Cranston girl, Deborah Luciano, a Senior Life Customer Service Representative at Amica Insurance and a Cranston native her entire life, will be attending. Deborah notes that she was a Girl Scout when she was younger and attended Camp Hoffman a few times. “I’m really looking forward to that weekend,” she notes.
Girl Scouts lives by the motto of helping young girls live to their full potential, to relate to others with understanding and respect, develop their own values, and to become productive and generous citizens.
“Amica Insurance respects and admires these goals and wants to support Girl Scouts in any way possible,” explains Jennifer Swanson, Communications Project Coordinator at Amica. “Plus, it’s a great way to reward our employees by offering this weekend of relaxation to our lucky raffle winners.”
