Lincoln, RI – Amica Insurance once again participated in a Books Are Fun book fair at their Corporate Office in Lincoln, Rhode Island. A total of $7,123 was raised at the fair and 15% of this was donated to Big Sisters of Rhode Island.
In addition to the $1,068 donated from the book fair, an additional $1,800 was donated in the form of a Citizenship Grant from the Amica Companies Foundation, the charitable arm of Amica Insurance.
Big Sisters is a mentoring program for young girls in Rhode Island and is committed to positively impacting these girls’ lives and to help them grow into strong, confident young women.
“This money is greatly appreciated by Big Sisters,” notes Priscilla Young, Executive Director at Big Sisters. “Companies like Amica Insurance are the backbones of our communities and we depend on these companies to help us continue mentoring young girls who are at-risk.”
