website adds new customer features

NORTHBROOK, Ill., — January 23, 2002 — Today, Allstate announced that it has enhanced its website with changes that make more convenient and easier to use.

“With an emphasis on providing a superior customer experience, we have redesigned the ‘Customer Care Center’ section on so that it is easier to navigate, more informative and includes even more self-service options for Allstate customers,” said Rich Heneberry, Allstate Assistant Vice President for Interactive Marketing.

“Pay-by-check is a new feature on the site and with a new, simplified registration process, customers can let begin working for them,” continued Heneberry. allows customers to manage their Allstate accounts with features like letting the customer view and request policy changes, check account status and pay premiums online (via check or credit card) as well as report a claim and monitor its progress through claim settlement.

“As more and more customers register for and use to manage their policies, we will continue to look for ways to improve and enhance the site’s services and features to ensure the customer has a superior experience,” said Heneberry.
