NEW YORK, January 6, 1998 – Morefar Marketing, Inc., a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has introduced Internet incident liability coverage, a policy enhancement that addresses exposures camps and schools face in providing students with Internet access.*
Offered as an endorsement to Morefar Marketing’s Camp and Private Schools Program, policyholders are covered for claims of bodily injury, emotional distress or property damage resulting from the communication of information or messages via an insured’s Internet facilities. Coverage applies to any alleged, or negligent act, error or omission by an insured arising solely out of the intended use of their Internet facilities.

“As the Internet has expanded the scope of modern education, it has created a new range of liability exposures. Educators must now be concerned with protecting students from inappropriate material found on the Web,” said Gregory Lang, President, Morefar Marketing. “This coverage is designed to address the complex issues that educators face as they bring classrooms into the information age.”
