If you’re a teen driver, you will soon find that finding inexpensive car insurance is literally impossible.
Car insurance is always going to cost more for new drivers but teens can find discounts by maintaining a 3.0 grade point average and/or being named to the Dean’s List or Honor Roll.
Qualifications will be different for each state but most car insurance policies will all good student discounts for driver between 16 and 24. Parents should remember that if they have two or more academically inclined children, they may not all get a discount.
Most insurance companies required the insured to submit a report card or some kind of confirmation letter to prove good student status. In addition, these discounts don’t carry over from year-to-year so you will have resubmit proof each time.
