Plymouth Rock Mobile Web Technology Wins 2010 Insurance Networking News INNovators Award for Customer Experience Excellence

Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, a leading New England auto insurance company, announced that The Plymouth Rock Group of Companies have been awarded a 2010 Insurance Networking News INNovators Award in the Customer Experience category for an enterprise mobile offering that enables their customers to manage their insurance policies via any Web-enabled mobile device. The Plymouth Rock Group was recognized for its innovation in developing front-office technologies and initiatives that successfully attract, retain and drive customer loyalty, satisfaction and retention. Companies in The Plymouth Rock Group, whose mobile web initiatives were part of the submission, include Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, operating in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and Palisades Safety and Insurance Management Company and High Point Insurance Company, both operating in New Jersey.

The Plymouth Rock Group’s mobile websites were launched in May 2010, following seven months of development and testing. They are currently available to all Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut auto insurance customers, and are expected to be introduced to additional markets in the near future. Users can find and map an agency location, view bills, make payments, report a claim or email damage photos, all from their mobile devices. As an added convenience, mobile device users can take advantage of emerging QR code technology that has been built into the offering. They can scan the special bar code image on posters at more than 6,400 locations around New England and New Jersey, on Facebook, or on the companies’ websites to quickly and easily bring them to each company’s mobile website.
