Jerry Jurgensen
Chief Executive Officer, Nationwide

Jerry Jurgensen is chief executive officer of Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. He was elected to this position in July 2000.With an emphasis on financial discipline and an improved corporate culture, Jurgensen has led Nationwide to high levels of performance. During his tenure, Nationwide’s net income has increased from $138 million in 2001 to more than $1 billion in 2004 and 2005.

Jurgensen previously served as executive vice president of Bank One Corporation, where he headed corporate banking and commercial banking products. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of Norwest Corporation.

He is a member of numerous business and civic organizations, including the boards of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Law Enforcement Foundation of Ohio, Ohio State University Hospital and Columbus Children’s Hospital. He also is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable, The Business Roundtable, Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and The Columbus Partnership.

Additionally, Jurgensen serves on the boards of Loyola University and Newberry Library in Chicago, Achieve, Inc., Columbus College of Art & Design, Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges and Project GRAD. He also serves on the board of directors for ConAgra Foods, Inc.

Jurgensen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from Creighton University.

Mark Thresher
President and Chief Operating Officer, Nationwide Financial

Mark R. Thresher is president and chief operating officer of Nationwide Financial Services, Inc., Nationwide’s publicly traded life insurance and retirement savings franchise. He was elected to these positions in 2004.

He previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Nationwide Financial. He joined Nationwide as vice president and treasurer in 1996. Prior to joining Nationwide, Thresher spent 18 years with KPMG LLP.

Thresher earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Otterbein College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Association of Ohio Life Insurance Companies; American Council of Life Insurers, where he serves on the Executive Roundtable Committee and the Retirement & Financial Security Steering Committee; and the Financial Services Roundtable. Thresher is a trustee of Otterbein College, where he serves on the investment and audit committees, and he is a member of the COSI Columbus Advisory Council.

Stephen S. Rasmussen
President and Chief Operating Officer, Property and Casualty Insurance Operations

Stephen S. Rasmussen is president and chief operating officer of property and casualty operations for Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. He was elected to this position in 2003.

He is responsible for the operations of Nationwide Insurance, Allied Insurance, Nationwide Agribusiness and Specialty Products.

He previously served as president and chief operating officer of Allied Insurance and held the same positions with CalFarm Insurance, an affiliated company. Prior to that, Rasmussen served as Allied’s executive vice president for product management, vice president for underwriting and regional vice president for the Pacific Coast Regional Office. He joined Allied in 1974.

Rasmussen serves on the boards of the National Urban League, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority, and the Columbus Metropolitan Library. He also previously served as a trustee for Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa, and as co-chair for the United Way of Central Ohio Alexis de Tocqueville Vingt-Cinq Society campaign.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Patricia R. Hatler
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Governance Officer, Nationwide

Pat Hatler is executive vice president and Chief Legal and Governance Officer for Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. She was elected to this position in 2003 and joined Nationwide in 1999.

She previously served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia. Her legal career also includes service with Dechert, Price and Rhoads in Philadelphia; Fulbright and Jaworski in Houston; and Stinson, Mag and Fizzel in Kansas City.

Hatler is a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s conference of Corporate General Counsels and has been a hearing committee officer for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board. She also serves on the board of directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the United Way of Central Ohio.

She is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in cognitive psychology. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia, where she was a Hardy Dillard Fellow.

Terri Hill
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Nationwide

Terri Hill is executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. She was elected to this position in 2003.

She is responsible for human resources, corporate real estate and aviation for all Nationwide companies.

He has worked in technology for 25 years and has extensive experience in technology strategy and planning, solution development, systems integration, technology infrastructure and operations.

Keller was previously chief technology officer for corporate infrastructure at Bank One Corporation. Prior to that, he was an executive in the Consulting and Systems Integration practice with IBM Global Services and served in a variety of leadership roles in IBM’s sales, industry solutions and services businesses.

James Lyski

Lyski previously served as senior vice president for strategy, product and marketing at CIGNA HealthCare, Inc., and was previously vice president for U.S. marketing at FedEx.

Prior to CIGNA, he served as chief operating officer of Atabok, Inc., a Boston-based technology company. At FedEx, where he had an 11-year career, he was responsible for advertising, global brand management, telemarketing, small business and consumer marketing, retail marketing and key customer marketing.

Lyski graduated from the University of Oregon with an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Robert A. Rosholt
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Finance, Investments and Strategy, Nationwide

Robert A. Rosholt is executive vice president and chief financial, investment and strategy officer for Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. He joined the company in 2002.

He is responsible for the Office of Finance, which handles treasury, accounting, taxation and risk management; the Office of Investments, which oversees portfolio management, fixed-income securities, real estate and Nationwide’s overall investment strategy; and the Office of Corporate Strategy, which leads strategic planning for Nationwide.
