Dental Program IssuesOct 30 2012
They are supposed to cover certain things the first year and you are supposed to have immediate coverage, but they do not and obviously you are not. I paid the premium each month via automatic withdrawal. I had upper dentures done in the third month I was on Humana's coverage. On month five I receive a letter from Humana stating that in two days my insurance would be canceled because they had a problem with my debit card. By the time I found out what the problem was (the date on the card had expired, but was immediately issued a new date), it was too late do anything about my dental insurance being canceled. They stated very clearly in the letter that I was being canceled, but they are still billing me. Also, they were supposed to pay for some of the dental work I had done which cost me out of pocket so far $1,453, plus the $280 I paid Humana in premiums so far. All they have paid the dentist is $67. Now the dentist is billing me for the balance that Humana was supposed to pay.
