Foremost Introduces Online Education System

October 13, 2006 (Grand Rapids, MI) Foremost Insurance Company recently introduced an online system that provides continuing education classes and credit to meet agent requirements in most states — and all you need is a computer and a credit card.

ForemostEducation.com makes it simple to earn CE credits. While most classes take four to six hours to complete, agents and CSRs can work at their own pace and even stop mid-course, save their work, and return later if they don’t have a block of time to complete the course. In addition, ForemostEducation.com tracks the credit hours and registers them with the agent’s state insurance department when required. Online payment for courses is also accepted on the site.

The initial set of online course choices include: Mobile Home, Motor Home, Travel Trailer, Specialty Dwelling, Commercial Mobile Home and Marine. New courses will be added to the roster over the course of the year with Standard Automobile and Homeowners courses leading that list. An Ethics course will also be available soon.

“The online classes are interactive, easy to use, and provide the agent with immediate feedback on how well they have mastered the material. Additionally, the Web-based environment gives the user the opportunity to go back, correct errors and review sections. After they have completed a course for CE, agents can also return and use the course as a reference at no additional charge,” reports Steve Mulder, Director of Corporate Training and Development for Foremost Insurance Company. His staff of professional, full-time insurance trainers developed these online courses for property and casualty licensed agents. Mulder adds, “We are committed to this new learning platform and look forward to adding additional courses through the coming years.”

If an agent or a CSR simply wants to increase their understanding of a product line or provide a new member of their staff with a solid background, there is no charge for taking any online course without continuing education credit.
