Electric Insurance Receives a Top Ranking for Fifth Straight Year in the New York State Insurance Department’s Annual Ranking of Automobile Insurance Complaints

Electric Insurance Company announced today that it received the best possible score, or a 0.0 complaint ratio, from the recently released New York State Insurance Department’s “Annual Ranking of Automobile Insurance Complaints” for 2006. The report shows that Electric Insurance had zero justified complaints. Out of the 44 companies ranked, Electric Insurance was one of only three companies that received the 0.0 complaint ratio.

This marks the fifth straight year that Electric Insurance Company has ranked in the top 10 in the New York State Insurance Department’s annual ranking.

Each year the New York State Insurance Department releases these rankings, which are based on the number of complaints consumers filed against their auto insurer in the previous calendar year, how many of those complaints were determined to have merit, and what the trends are in context of the insurer’s total premiums written statewide.
