Unitrin And Unexpected Rate Increases

If you're thinking about Unitrin for insurance I recommend that you be very careful. I am one of those consumers that considers themselves well educated and I purposely set out to research products and services before I buy. When I was getting insurance quotes I checked into Unitrin insurance and even though I thought I was well-informed I was in for a rude surprise. I compared Unitrin insurance with other insurance companies and found that I got the lowest quote from the company and their deal seemed reasonable, so like the wise fool I signed up with the company. I had the company as my insurance carrier for about six months when I suddenly and quite unexpectedly received a bill notice advising me of a significant rate increase. There was no explanation for the increase and when I called the company the rep told me that all rates are going up for everyone. Buying into the nonsense I figured there was nothing I could do. Three months later, I got another rate increase with no explanation but also got smart and dropped the company.
