They try whatever they can to avaoid paying claims. Or to slap me with incorrectly applied coinsurance charges. When called upon it, they cheerily promise to fix it ("Rapid Resolution Team"), but nothing happens until maybe the 3rd or 4th call if that. By that time the charges are sitting with a collection agency... They only thing I can conclude from the behavior of the billing/customer service representatives is that they have some incentive to try and get around their contractual obligations. They try to wear out and frustrate their clients in hopes they'll give up in fear of ruining their credit score. EVIL. Stay far far away.
