Customer Review - United Health Care

United Healthcare Sucks (UHC)

Unfortunately, I am unable to discontinue service with UHC as this is my company's chosen provider. For those who are able to choose (or for companies making this decision), I don't care how cheap the rates are, do not choose this insurance company.

I have been contacting them for over 1 year to get a claim paid with the most recent conversation being a 2 hour call today in which I was discounted twice. Of course, you can't call in and reconnect with the individual to which you were speaking, you have to go through the entire automated call routing process, which by the way, is also a terrible experience.

Anyway, each time I have contacted them regarding this claim, they have assured me that the issue has been resolved and there is no need for me to do anything further and that the payment would be remitted. Well, what do you know, the Health care provider has now sent me to a collection agency!! So, not only have I wasted probably 20 hours of my personal time dealing with this ridiculous organization but now, my credit has been affected too. I will be contacting the BBB and I will also figure out some way to blog about this and submit reviews to every possible Web site in attempt to stop others from falling into this same situation. You would think with all of the awful reviews this company has received that people would stop buying their services. The cost must be so cheap that employers can't resist. Well, you get what you pay for!!!
