United American is Good to CustomersI am a former employee of United American. I worked in the claims department and dealt with claims all day long. In truth, I was comfortable with my position in the company, primarily because my job was great. Very few, if any complaints ever came in about the claims process and customers usually only called with questions. Whenever I had to deal with customers calling about United American processing issues, they were frequently friendly and had no grips about the company's practices. I am here to tell you I have worked as a customer service rep for other companies and the job isn't always so pleasant. Yet, when working for United American, I was completely comfortable with the job and happy to deal with customers on a day to day basis. Instead of irate or angry people calling in, I got a chance to talk to satisfied customers on a repeat basis. If I didn't have to move, I would have never left the position.
