United American, Your ignorance is amusing!I too have been contacted by UA for employment as well as several other insurance companies. I will not join them because I do not want to be a captive agent. UA is a very reputable company that's be around over 50 years. For those of you who state "the agent said this or that", did it ever occur to you to READ YOUR POLICY? You have that right by law. If you don't like what you see then you have the choice to cancel or pay a higher premium for more coverage. For those of you who were contacted by UA and other insurance companies either say, "no thank you", or just ignore them. You must know that once you pass your exam or post a resume on the internet your information is pretty much public. Here in Texas your home address is available on the Dpt of TX Ins website. With any Ins Co you may or may not have to pay for your own license. The same holds true for leads. The leads expense will kill you if you are not selling. Most of the leads are crap sold to you and at least 4 other agents. I don't know about UA but some companies withdraw the lead money ($400 to $500 a month) right out of your bank account. The bottom line is donot believe these ignorant people who complain after the fact. People only hear what they want to hear. Nobody wants to do their own research. UA is not doing anything wrong. All insurance companies have several policies that they offer at different premiums. Most of our information is public information we might as well accept the fact and move on.
