Read the Small Print and know what you are buyingWhile I don't have personal experience with United American, I have been insured with many insurance companies, some good and some bad. In reading the bad reviews on here, the problems discussed could have been avoided if people had read their policies, rather than take their agent's word for it. Any continued... |

United American IS A RIPOFF - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!The agent that sold me United American Health insurance swore up and down that they would cover 80% of our Hospital and Surgical expenses....even pregnancy related expenses. My wife is pregnant. We called to see how much they would cover, and they said ZERO!!!! They won't cover even a PENNY of our continued... |

Don't waste your hard earned money on United AmericanI should have seen a red flag go up when the agent was caught in a lie. He was sloppy looking, smoked, and couldn't answer some of my questions. I cancelled the very next day-he lied again and said he would take care of everything (which he didn't) When I finally reached someone at the ins co. I was told continued... |

I will not join them because I do not want to be a captive agent. UA is a very reputable company that's be around over 50 years. For those of you who state "the agent said this or that", did it ever continued... |

I had a visit to the ER on March 02 because I'm pregnant and I was consistently running a 104 degree fever (they don't provide maternity coverage by the way, pre-conception or not). While I was there, continued... |

United American is a ripoff-don't waste your moneyMy husband and I are self-employed and wanted coverage for accidents, emergencies and surgeries. We repeatedly stressed-to the agent-that we were not so concerned with office visits and routine medical care but wanted protection against financial disaster. In February, my husband had an appendectomy continued... |
