Dishonest, inconsistent.Unicare is a terrible company to have insurance with. They are fraudulent and dishonest. Everyone I have talked to tells me something different. If I didn't already know my coverage before I began trying to battle things out with them, I would have ended up paying at least $6,000 in bills that were covered continued... |

Unicare sucks!I'm told Unicare no longer sells in Texas! Thank God! I had a carotid stent procedure done in December. It was 80% blocked and my cardiologist didn't think it was a good idea to wait too long. Getting an appointment with a cardiac surgeon was 6 or more weeks away! Unicare is a theives denThe denied basic claims even crappy BCBS would have paid. They are no longer servicing Texas thanks to a pile of law suits BUT... they still tried to charge me for January and February even though they stopped servicing Texas as of Jan 1... UNICARE FINANCIALLY DEVASTATED MY FAMILY
I mailed my premium in time for it to get to Unicare. They apparently sat on my deposit. My insurance payment, according to them, was 4 days late. They canceled my husband's policy. THE EFFECTS ARE FINANCIALLY DEVASTATING TO MY FAMILY. RUN LIKE HELL FROM THESE CON ARTISTS. |

deceptive practices
I have seen 5 doctors on unicare thus far and only one of those claims has been paid. Otherwise the customer service person has claimed that the doctors are out of network when in fact they are not. |
