hail damage

I had seven roofing companies say my roof was damaged by hail. The estimates ranged from $6500 to $9500. The adjuster that state farm sent out said the damaged totaled $865. I asked for a second adjuster to come out and the second adjuster said the damaged was $965. All the houses in my area have had their roofs replaced except for seven houses. I contacted them and they said they had state farm insurance. My agent keeps referring me back to the main office. What is the point of having an agent? I am looking to switch to an online insurance company. Has anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
