Good Luck with your claim

Long story short...my car was hit while parked on the street. No exterior damage to the damage was visible except a small dent in the front license plate. (If you live in San Francisco, you know this occurrence is not out of the ordinary.) Apparently the impact was hard enough to crack the radiator, and melt the engine during a quick trip to the airport. Now, granted, this even being possible doesn't say much for the Minis. I filed a claim with my insurance company. Today is Oct 19th, 44 DAYS SINCE THE DAMAGE occurred. Still nothing. One month after the claim was filed, they sent it to total loss. They called me to obtain payoff information two weeks ago. Still,no one has followed up. Every time I call, they act surprised that the claim has not been reviewed and assure me that someone will call the next day. They never do. For 44 days. Their prices are high, their promises are huge, their performance is terrible. The only person that has kept in communication with me is my agent, who hasn't been able to speed anything up either. If you go through this, get an attorney, and get one early. Mine will be getting another call in the morning.
