Bogus accident recordI had never had a accident, kept continuous insurance when in 2002 I went to my agent's office one day re-insure my car. The agent old me "that will be $1000". I asked why my car insurance had went from $500 every 6 months to $1000 and he said "well you had a accident in 1999 that caused over $3300 in damage to another vehicle". I told him I did not and he should know that since I had full coverage on the same vehicle with them. He said it's right here in the records. I was flabbergasted. I asked where and what day was this and he said July 2, 1999 here in town. I said that's bull and you should know it since I didn't move here until 2005. He let me know records don't lie and I let him know where he could stick it. I had never had an accident the whole time I was their customer. It is my firm believe that they don't keep proper records and I had been with them too long and was overdue for an accident. To this day it makes no sense too me. I went down the street to a agency that found no record of an accident and got the best policy with the right company for me. Don't waste your time and money with State Farm. Sooner or later you will regret it if you do.
