Observation

As a veteran insurance agent, I have read reviews from several insurance companies and as I see it a great number of the negative reviews are completely unjustified due primarily to ignorance of contract law. Some appear to be outright lies. Some are breakdown on the agents part. The one consistent issue I have noted in 40 years of experience is that there are a number of companies that at claim time are bent slightly towards themselves and a greater number that are bent slightly towards the insured. Usually this can be spotted by original pricing. About 5% are usually less costly and about 5% are more costly over a ten year period. The other 90% are very close over a 10 year period. There are only two factors that make that different - internal cost and claim cost. a few have better automation and a few are less responsive at claim time.
