Dear Mr. Flowers:
Just recently I was one of your customers for Response car insurance. I paid my bills on time, I am easy to get along with and I am what an owner should want to have as an ideal customer. I also liked Response.
Well, the United States post office never sent me my cancellation notice until it was after three days past the due date. Should I have caught this on my own previous to this? I thought I had already paid the bill and was blissfully ignorant that things were going to happen as they did.
I called Response to pay my bill and apologize for the mishap. They told me I was no longer a customer—they weren't offering me a new contract. I asked why. They told me it was because I had too many accidents!
The last three accidents were hitting a deer that ran out in front of me with no warning, a front end loader that shouldn’t have even been on the regular road going 10 miles an hour with four way flashers going way over on the right side of the road—not on the regular road, all of a sudden taking a 90 degree turn to the left to enter a trailer park, hitting me as I was passing it, which it, in my opinion, it was telling me to pass, and a hit and run done on my car as I was visiting several department stores—I didn’t even know it happened until I got home.
This is the reason a car insurance company dumps me? Because that’s what I feel-dumped. I am not a happy camper at the moment!
So now I’m trying other companies and will have to pay a higher premium!
I’m livid . . .if you want to know the truth. I wasn’t treated fairly at all, and I will definitely let people know how I was treated at one of your companies.
Thank you for listening to my side of it.
Sincerely, Ron Creighton
