SHOPPING AROUND...WHERE'S THE TRAINING?Since I live in NJ, the "agent" was from a company called High Point, contracted by Prudential for the area. I did an online quote with Prudential, an "agent" called me to supposedly, "see what he could do for me." I am a Soldier in the Army, I reside in NJ for the time being, but my vehicle and DL's is from another state. The "agent" told me that I needed to register my car in NJ and switch my DL's, even though I explained my situation that, I don't plan on changing anything. He stated he doesn't know any company that would cover me, given the situation. I have been in and covered in NJ for 2 years with the same stipulations. I have never been told this. The "agent" was rude, and obviously had no training. You do not tell someone what they need to do, you can suggest all day long. Even though I told him, he was the only person I heard this from, (I spoke to 3 before him), he gave a sarcastic laugh and said well I don't know what to tell you or how to help you cause it seems like you don't want to help yourself. No, I am not going to go through the hassle, given I am military and could be called away at anytime. My quote was in the range of $344-430 a month. But the insurance I pay now with the same criteria, mind you, is $157 a month. Idiot.
