Fleeced

Purchased a variable annuity life insurance policy from Prudential in 1993. I stipulated and was "guaranteed" a policy that would be "paid-in-full" in 12 years. At the end of 12 years I was told that it would probably be "paid up" in three more years. At the end of that three years, not only was it not paid up but Prudential increased my premium from $150.00 monthly to $238.00 monthly with no paid-up time limit at all.

During all this communicating, it became quite clear that the only reason Prudential can post such desirable quarterly and annual earnings statements is their uncanny ability to fleece the public and keep their illicit behavior below the radar of state and federal regulatory commissions....if these commissions even care.

Needless to say, I have canceled this policy and took the $30,000 loss of premiums I've paid to avoid having my family being told, upon my death, "sorry we can't pay because he was not fleeced long enough".

I will rate this corporation a number one, only because there is not a provision for a rating of zero or less.
