Misleading quotes and a selfish company

Progressive is misleading. It gave me a cheaper quote, which led me to switch to Progressive from Geico. But after 2 months, it increased my insurance by almost 35% for some vague reasons. Now, I not only have to pay 35% more than the original quote, but I also had to pay the increased price for the first two months.. If I had to pay 35% more every month, why they didn’t gave me that quote at the first place?? This is pretty frustrating. Now, every ad of progressive about customer care irritates me. Once I’m done with this insurance plan, I’m never going back to Progressive again.
Moreover, I have another car, an old one, which was insured with progressive. After buying a new car, I cancelled the insurance for the old one, because I would rarely use it. After a couple of months, I received a letter from DMV stating that progressive have reported that i have a car with no insurance and if I don’t insure my car, necessary actions will be taken. Now, why should I pay the insurance of a car that I don’t use?? And, why this self-centered, selfish company “Progressive” had to report about it?? So that, progressive would think I will insure my car with them again?? I was really pissed.. I understand that uninsured vehicles on the road are dangerous, but how come my car which is sitting in the garage for almost 5 months could be dangerous to the community??
