Where Did My Agent Go??????

Met Life is a company I would never recommend to anyone, especially if their agent is in Huntsville Alabama. He was always on top of things when I was purchasing insurance, but when he realized I was changing companies, he would never answer or return my calls. I paid auto insurance for the entire year starting January 2009 thru January 2010. I canceled my policy at the end of April 2009 and have yet to receive my entire refund and this is the middle of February 2010. They still owe me about $600.00 for prepaid premiums and my so called agent has not been of any assistance in helping me with the situation. I have to call customer service and get switched around to different people and always get mysteriously disconnected. I never had to deal with customer service when I puchased $2800.00 worth of insurance, my agent was right by my side. He finally called me back after I left voice messages on his cell and office phone for a month. I left him a message that I would just take a ride over to Regal Drive in Huntsville so he could help me resolve this matter because i didn't know what to do and guess what.....HE FINALLY CALLS!!! He is still alive....imagine that!!!!!! Of course he tells me I can call customer service that their was nothing he could do....just as a expected. I have been calling customer service since May 2009 and it is a nightmare. I'm sure these people work for a little of nothing and they do the best they can do,but I have spent endless hours on the phone and I always mysteriously get disconnected. I was speaking with a rep one day and I could here her baby crying in the background and was told later that day by another rep that a lot of the customer service work from home and if they are logged off they can't be reached. She was doing the best she could do and was very nice. Just another way to insurance companies make the money at the expense of all of us. Met Life may offer you a cheaper premium, but trust me, I have definitely learned the true meaning of "you get what you pay for." No matter who or how much I have to give to another insurance company, Met Life will not get another dime from me or anyone I previously referred. I strongly recommend anyone who is searching for insurance to avoid this company. They will bring you nothing but a lot of grief and misery because you will end up doing the work that your agent that has sold and collected your premiums should be doing!!!
