Metlife is THE WORST! go anywhere but Metlife!!!i had no problems with metlife until last year 2010 when my claim was put into the system and I am still waiting for the claim to be completed. I haven't had my car since December we will be in June tomorrow. My car caught fire and they kept denying the claim saying it was an electrical problem. they didn't want to pay the mechanic so I had to pay. then took it to the dealer who said it was definitely a fire. they made me go through HELL! and I'm still going through hell. they say they will come look at the car to get approval for repairs and don't show up, they told my original mechanic to do repairs then said they never told him to which is why they didn't pay him. i went to metlife to save money on my monthly premium but i would rather pay double and get treated better. they had no regards for me traveling by T everyday with my daughter in the snow and rain. all they did was deny my claim because they didn't want to pay. well now they HAVE to pay and once my car is fixed i will be leaving metlife and will never look back. customer service was horrible. they treated me like i was a criminal when i could have died in the car had i stayed inside. NEVER EVER go to Metlife for auto insurance!
