MetLife the big ripoff

My husband had supplemental life insurance thru his employer on both of us. When he died of pancreatic cancer, first off MetLife gave me tons of grief over converting my policy from group to individual.... they would not cash a check for the premium payment because my deceased husband's name was on the check... unbelievable!!!! They also have refused to pay out on his $50,000 policy because they say he wasn't an employee when he died (his employer says he WAS, but what the hell would the employer know). So now because of MetLife, as a 53 year old widow I am forced into the job market with no skills instead of going to school to learn a trade as I'd planned to do with the life insurance proceeds, and I'll probably end up losing the house because of it. Thanks you cheap b*stards, hope you sleep well at night. everybody better RUN from this company.
