Medco ConfusionI'm confused. We have Medco for our prescription drug benefit, so would that mean they are an insurance company? They approve of drugs they can sell and make a profit from and disallow the drugs that are actually prescribed by my physician. Whether their cheap alternative works or not is not of their concern, their bottom line is. My question is this: If Medco is a prescription drug plan (insurance), how is it legal for an insurance company to also sell pharmaceuticals? Isn't this a conflict of interest? Also, I can now get other generic prescriptions from our local supermarket pharmacy for $3.99/month, $9.99/3 months rather than the $10/month and $25-$60/3 months from Medco.
