Worst Dental Insurance Ever!!!

I purchased Humana One Dental Insurance because it was inexpensive. Unfortunately, the reason they are able to keep their premiums low is because it is impossible to actually use this insurance at a worthwhile dentist. Two dentists in our area actually were taking new patients on HumanaOne; one never answers the phone, and the other has third-world style facilities- I actually saw cleaner conditions at medical facilities in Iraq. The dentist did not even have soap in the bathroom in his office (it was a unisex bathroom- the only one in the office, and it had not been cleaned in a while). Due to the lack of decent hygiene at this dentist's office (these people are cleaning other people's mouths, yet they aren't washing their hands with soap), I left the dentist's office and did not ever use the insurance. It proved to be very difficult to get any customer service with this insurance company. When I told them I wanted to cancel, I was told that the request would be submitted, but that I would have to still pay this month's and next month's premiums. Basically they are a rip-off, which is unfortunate, because Humana administers tri-care in the south (health insurance) and is actually quite good on that. I had gotten their dental insurance because tri-care dental is so expensive for a family, and I recognized the humana name. But they do not care about maintaining their name or the integrity of their company or their reputation, because their customer service is absolutely terrible. Stay as far away from humana One dental as you can!
