Bait and Switch

My wife was having bad cramps. So, she went through the whole process of doctors, MD, OB/GYN, and finally a specialist. Of course paying all along the way for test, co pays, etc. Finally, they discovered that her pain was from scar tissue that had formed when she had her appendix removed years ago. So, surgery was scheduled to remove the tissue and everything when well. But after it was all over, Humana classified the surgery as fertility treatment and that means that they do not have to pay anything. I called and their justification was what the surgery could possibly improve her chance of getting pregnant. This means that we are out $10,000 and the price of our worth less insurance. Don’t waste your money on Humana. You are better going without insurance. They are just going to rip you off.
