Terrible customer service.I've had Farmers for about 18 years. We have all of our cars, house, and life insurance. Only in the last 3 years I had to submit a claim, one for our roof when it was badly damaged by hail and then when we had a car accident on snow covered road. The roof story took 3 long months to solve during which time we had to place MANY long distance phone calls trying to reach our assigned adjuster. The guy who is from CA was supposed to be visiting Colorado to check roofs. He gave me 2 appointments where I was to be at home waiting for him. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. Not even a call about it. Then he said "OK, don't worry we'll check your roof, you don't need to be present" We got an estimate in the mail that was for a house 1/2 the size of our home! Had to call again and start practically all over. Finally the amount they offered was so ridiculous that we could NOT find a roofer within 100 miles that could do it for that money. EVERY one of the roof contractors we spoke to said the same exact thing: Farmers were the worst when it comes to time and money. As for my car accident, long story short: Had to contact Colorado Division of Insurance for them to even start the process after my claim! When you have a claim and call that original 800 # everyone is extremely nice, past that get ready for absolutely careless people,and at times even rude!
