Way Too Much Complaining
I am amazed at how many people complain about issues when they are the ones that neglected to read the purchase agreement. People complain about their accounts being automatically withdrawn without notice or their consent. In the purchase agreement, it clearly states payments are automatically withdrawn and they will receive notice via email. So many people claim to never receive notice of payment. Do they bother to check their Spam folders? It’s amazing that so many complainers seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that each and every payment, renewal, cancellation, reinstatement, & payment authorization notice is posted under the Documents section of their online policy. People who can’t seem to keep track of their responsibilities always want to point the blame everywhere else, except where it belongs. When something goes wrong, it’s never “their” fault. It’s not that hard to read a purchase agreement or log into your policy online to view your payment notices.

I also have a hard time understanding why anyone would expect any insurance company to keep a policy active when they haven’t put in the necessary payment. When equity runs out on the policy, it cancels, period.

People also complain about cancellation fees when they want to cancel before their renewal date. Again, all applicable fees are included in the purchase agreement. So many issues would be avoided if people actually read the purchase agreement.

People also complain about increase in premium at renewal. Yes, it happens from time to time with EVERY insurance company. If you get into an accident, and the company has to pay out on it, of course the premium will increase. You’re a riskier person to insure. Then there are the people that rant about the premium increasing even though they haven’t had a claim and have a clean driving record. Well, not everyone in your state can say the same. If the number of claims being paid out increases, the rate do have to increase. It’s the cost of doing business.

Basically, the customer is not always right. It’s not the fault of the company if a person can’t be responsible and take care of business. It’s not the business’s responsibility to make sure you take care of your responsibilities. If you accept the purchase agreement with out reading it, that’s your fault. It’s there, READ IT. It’s not the companies fault if you can’t take some time at least once a month to log into your policy online to make sure everything is in order. Nursery days are over, it’s time you start to wipe your own behind…
